Christian Academy
The Academy
Fulford Christian Academy is a ministry of Fulford United Methodist Church. Fulford Christian Academy provides a Christian education to infants through Kindergarten. We have free VPK and accept School Readiness and Step Up for students. After school care is available for school age children up to 5th grade, with homework assistance and tutoring during the school year and full day for out of school days including, but not limited to, winter, spring and summer breaks. We offer soccer, dance and music enrichments.
Our Beliefs
We believe that all children are unique in the eyes of God. Fulford Christian Academy provides a developmentally appropriate Christian education program in order to prepare children for future success school and in the community.
Child development theory and scientific research are the foundation of The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. They inform decision making, influence our view of children, and are the basis for all the recommendations we’ve included.
Our curricula include activities such as cooking in the classroom, painting, computer technology and other meaningful experiences for children. Our faith-based curriculum includes prayer daily and Children’s Chapel with a Bible Study and Praise Time on Wednesdays.

Our Curriculum
We offer emergent learning through the Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum balances both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning, with an emphasis on responding to children’s learning styles and building on their strengths and interests.
The Creative Curriculum for Preschool translates new research and theory from the field of early childhood education into a practical, easy-to-understand approach to working with children and their families. It is a comprehensive curriculum with a clear organizational structure and a particular focus on interest areas.
